Ubuntu 11.10: How to never hide your Unity launcher

On desktop machines auto-hide of the Unity launcher is really useful, but on a Netbook with a touchscreen it makes less sense.

To solve this, install the Compiz Config Settings Manager by:

sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

and follow the instructions on this page:
